GM Programming

Haunui Royal is an experienced producer and director of programmes for TVNZ, TV3 and Māori Television who has been involved in the television industry for more than 20 years. His television production experience includes writing, directing and producing documentaries, reality television series, children’s programmes and entertainment shows as well as educational resources and corporate videos. Haunui joined Māori Television in 2003 as Executive Producer and was instrumental in setting up the organisation’s internal programming function. He is also a former Acting General Manager of Programming, a role he temporarily filled in 2004-2005 before returning to independent production.
