Rod Cornelius

Crown appointment

During the pioneering years of television, Rod Cornelius worked at the NZBC specialising in production in Dunedin, then leading teams of producers and production staff. By the late 70s, he was heading production departments, first in information programmes, and later controlling programme production and development, TVNZ drama, general and special interest Māori programming, documentaries and features. Rod was later appointed Executive Director of Resources TVNZ, and completed a lengthy career in the industry as Managing Director of Avalon Television.
